MBF Group and PLP partnership for modern technology

Patronage agreement with the Polish Industrial Lobby named after him. Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski – one of the most influential and independent expert organizations supporting the development of Polish industry – has become a fact. The agreement has been concluded for an indefinite period of time and is an expression of a shared vision aimed at building modern industrial competence based on knowledge, experience and synergy of expert communities.

For MBF Group, cooperation with the PLP is not only a substantive and prestige enhancement, but above all a major step towards building a new business area – unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) with dual use: civilian and military. The signing of the agreement is a symbolic beginning of a new stage in the Company’s development – based on ambition and readiness to co-create the future of Polish technical thought. Of course, in proportion to their capabilities and awareness of existing barriers.

It is already clear that the first joint activities of the MBF and PLP will focus on specific unmanned systems projects that have real potential for both the market and defense. Equally important, all activities will be carried out within the existing structures of MBF Group SA, without creating subsidiaries or special purpose vehicles. This approach guarantees transparency, continuity of operations and full embedding of new projects in the Company’s business model.

Military and dual-use technology sector

The signing of an umbrella agreement with the Polish Industrial Lobby is not a unitary event, but part of MBF Group SA’s broader development plan adopted as part of its 2024-2026 strategy. In the document, the Company’s Board of Directors clearly indicated one of its priorities: entering the high-tech sector with dual use – civilian and military. This decision was not accidental. Observing the changing geopolitical reality, growing security investments and global development of drone technology, the Company saw a real opportunity to expand its operations in a manner consistent with its existing operating model – flexible, international and based on real market demand. Also of key importance was the challenge facing the Polish economy: building its own defense competencies, becoming independent of imports and creating modern solutions based on domestic know-how.

MBF Group SA’s inclusion in the trend of the so-called “new”. “dual-use” technologies – which have both civilian and military applications – is a logical continuation of the Company’s existing specialties: distribution of key raw materials, flexible logistics, technical consulting and financial support in international transactions. As a result, the Issuer not only has the operational background to handle high-tech projects, but also has experience in building stable relationships with industrial partners, both at home and abroad. The company wants not only to participate in the innovation market, but also to actively shape it: by designing, integrating and commercializing technologies that will find application in critical infrastructure, logistics, emergency services, border protection and, of course, the armed forces.

The role of the PLP: substantive patronage and national experience

Polish Industrial Lobby im. Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski (PLP) is a unique institution on the Polish map of expert organizations. For more than 30 years, it has acted as an independent, cross-party forum for cooperation among the scientific, industrial, military and trade union communities. He does not run a business, does not represent the interests of any political party, and at the same time has a real impact on shaping public debate and strategic decisions on industry and the economy.

PLP was established in 1993 as a response to the deindustrialization processes and transformation chaos of the 1990s. It brought together from the beginning people with experience in the high-tech, aerospace, armaments and energy sectors. It was a community initiative – a grassroots one, aware of the dangers of the lack of a long-term industrial policy. Over the course of three decades, the PLP became an intellectual and opinion base for those who wanted to build Poland’s economic sovereignty – both during crises and periods of intense development.

The organization’s output is impressive: more than 525 opinions, analyses and reports prepared for presidents, governments, parliamentary committees, military institutions and key companies. PLP initiated dozens of nationwide conferences, seminars and debates where ideas, experiences and solutions collided. Participants included professors, engineers, military commanders, factory directors, R&D experts – and above all, economic patriots for whom the development of domestic industry has been and remains a priority.

As part of its activities, PLP conducted, among other things. work on:

  • reports on. modernization of the armed forces,
  • expert opinions on. Offset in the purchase of the F-35,
  • analyses of the effects of the post-1989 transformation,
  • “For a Better Poland” and “Alternative Program for State Repair” projects.

Prominent figures associated with the PLP include. prof. Ph. Pawel Soroka – long-time coordinator and author of the vision for Central Industrial District 2, as well as Eng. Zygmunt Dębinski, MD. Henryk Potrzebowski and Col. Dr. Karol Lewandowski. They are people of unquestionable authority – whether in academic, industrial or military circles.

Over the years, PLP has been able to build something unique: an ecosystem of competence, industrial memory and expert know-how that has neither commercialized nor disintegrated. It was this organization that was one of the first to talk about the need to develop dual-use technology, raw material and industrial security, and build an indigenous manufacturing base. Her expertise has been appreciated by successive government teams, some of which have realistically influenced the direction of state policy.

For MBF Group SA, cooperation with PLP means more than prestigious patronage. This is access to a unique resource: knowledge, experience, contacts and recommendations. It is also a guarantee that the direction of development chosen by the Company finds substantive justification and support from the environment, which for three decades has defended the value of Polish industry.

The scope and significance of the signed patronage agreement

The agreement, signed on July 17, 2025, between MBF Group SA and the Polish Industrial Lobby named after him, was signed on July 17, 2025. The Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski Act is not just a declaration of cooperation – it is a well-defined patronage act that sets out the principles, goals and commitments of both parties in the context of industrial and defense technology development. The document provides a framework for joint activities carried out on the basis of the idea of building national technological and industrial capacity, including in particular innovative drone technologies.

Under the agreement, PLP is patronizing MBF Group SA’s activities in implementing technological solutions related to unmanned aerial systems (UAVs) and counter-drone systems (C-UAS). This patronage includes not only conceptual activities, but also practical support – including expertise, analysis, recommendations and participation in advisory teams and industry events.

MBF Group thus gains not only substantive protection, but also the right to use the name and designations of the Polish Industrial Lobby in communications with partners, clients, institutions and investors. PLP retains full autonomy in terms of the opinions and positions it expresses, while MBF Group guarantees transparency in its actions and respect for the Patron’s mission. In practice, this means that any joint venture – regardless of scale or nature – should be set on strong foundations: the expertise and independence of PLP on the one hand, and the operational efficiency and business flexibility of MBF Group SA on the other.

The beginning of cooperation: drones and anti-drone systems

Unmanned technologies are not just reconnaissance or transportation tools – today they are complex, integrated systems with enormous potential for applications in the logistics, energy, rescue, agricultural, construction and, above all, military sectors. In parallel, the market for anti-drone solutions – designed to detect, identify and neutralize threats from unauthorized or hostile drones – is growing. Modern conflicts show that information and air superiority often depends not on the number of tanks, but on the quality of UAV and C-UAS systems.

MBF Group SA would like to actively participate in this market. First, as a distributor and seller. Second, as a co-creator of technologies and competencies. Thanks to PLP’s patronage, the Company can build its operations based on the real needs of the defense and civilian industries, and benefit from the knowledge and experience of experts who have worked with the Polish Armed Forces, the R&D sector and domestic manufacturers for years.

The first goal is to create an integrated project team – consisting of engineers, designers, industry practitioners and PLP experts – that will be responsible for the design, integration and implementation of UAV and C-UAS systems. The team aims to be the foundation for launching specific product lines, including in partnership with other national and European entities. The partnership with PLP is a guarantee that the Company will be accompanied on this journey by people who have defended the interests of Polish industry for years and understand the specifics of dual-use technology.

Building a network of partnerships in Poland and Europe

In parallel to the signing of the umbrella agreement with the PLP, MBF Group SA is in intensive talks with designers, manufacturers and integrators of unmanned systems and anti-drone technologies from Poland and Europe. The goal of these activities is to build a sustainable network of technological and industrial relationships that will enable rapid transition from the concept phase to real deployments and market contracts.

The company is not limited to domestic suppliers. Potential partners include companies specializing in the design of UAV platforms, control systems, optoelectronic and radar sensors, as well as air traffic management and radio combat software. At the same time, the Issuer is actively reviewing opportunities for cooperation with entities offering C-UAS systems – including those using kinetic, electromagnetic and soft-kill (disruption, interception, deception) neutralization technologies.

Discussions are conducted with full confidentiality and respect for the interests of contractors. What sets us apart from many players entering the drone sector is our ability to integrate various resources – from technology to know-how to logistics and financing. The company has a ready infrastructure to handle international deliveries, expertise in certification and export documentation, and proven models for working with subcontractors.

Expanding Europe’s technological and industrial network is a necessary step to compete in a market that demands innovation, but also the ability to adapt quickly. With the PLP’s support and intensive negotiating efforts, MBF Group SA is preparing for this challenge with full awareness of its scale, responsibility and potential benefits.

Transparent project implementation model

One of the important assumptions adopted by MBF Group SA in connection with the development of its operations in the drone and anti-drone technology sector is the full structural and operational transparency of the projects implemented. The company has already declared at the strategic planning stage that it does not intend to establish any new special purpose vehicles, subsidiaries or separate holding structures to handle this business. All activities – both engineering, integration and sales – will be carried out directly within MBF Group SA structures.

This approach is driven by a desire to maintain full operational control over projects, but also by concern for the security of shareholders’ interests. The Company remains transparent to the market and its supervising institutions – as a public entity listed on the NewConnect market, the Issuer is subject to disclosure obligations and corporate governance rules that preclude an operating model based on illegible capital structures.

The absence of subsidiaries also means that all assets, competencies, know-how and future revenues related to UAV and C-UAS projects will directly contribute to the value and growth potential of MBF Group SA as a whole. There is no risk of “pushing” value to external parties or suspicion of deliberate dilution of project responsibility. The company unequivocally declares that the entire venture will be conducted in an honest, responsible manner and embedded in a viable ownership structure.

Financing and security of implementation

The UAV and C-UAS technology development projects implemented by MBF Group SA already have secured financing at the initial stage. Key to this is the stable base provided by ongoing revenues from commercial contracts executed by the Company – particularly in the industrial raw materials, food and fertilizer sectors. It is the revenues and profits from these activities that allow the Company to launch new directions without the need for immediate external financing.

At the same time, the Company’s management is working to prepare alternative development scenarios – with control over costs, flexibility and financial predictability. Among the available options is the possibility:

  • Obtaining debt financing – for example, in the form of investment loans or bonds,
  • to reach for EU and domestic funds – including from programs to support dual-use technologies, the development of the arms industry and the energy transition,
  • obtain equity financing – from institutional or individual investors, with adequate protection of the interests of existing shareholders,
  • participation in consortia and projects with public subsidy, with the support of PLP experts and other industry institutions.

Impact on the position of MBF Group SA

The conclusion of an umbrella agreement with the Polish Industrial Lobby and the launch of projects in the military sector, including drone and anti-drone technologies, are developments that significantly strengthen MBF Group SA’s market and strategic position. The company, hitherto known primarily for its activities in the trade and logistics of industrial raw materials, is gaining a new dimension – as an entity actively involved in the development of modern technologies critical to national security and sovereignty. This allows the Company to be seen as a partner not only in trade, but also in technology and industry – capable of carrying out complex engineering, integration and commercial projects.

At the same time, the Company does not lose its flexibility and operational capability, which has been its competitive advantage in the trading and brokerage market for years. Technology projects are not detached from the core business – on the contrary, they are a natural extension of it, strengthening both the financial potential and the Company’s innovation.

Summary and announcement of next steps

Signing an umbrella agreement with the Polish Industrial Lobby named after him. Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski is an event of considerable strategic importance for MBF Group SA. It opens a new chapter in the Company’s activities – based on innovation, expert cooperation and commitment to the development of technologies of fundamental importance to the future of Polish industry and national security.

The partnership with the PLP gives MBF access to a unique analytical, substantive and environmental background that has actively shaped the debate on the direction of the country’s economic development for three decades. At the same time, it allows the Company to rise above the operational level and enter the field of co-creation of technological solutions – from concept to design to implementation.

In the coming weeks, MBF Group SA will focus on finalizing discussions with project partners and establishing an integration team, which will become the foundation for future activities in the UAV and C-UAS sector. As progress is made, the Company will report on the next steps in implementing the adopted strategy through current reports and public communications.

MBF Group SA and the Polish Industrial Lobby invite all stakeholders – investors, contractors, institutions and the public – to follow the results of this cooperation. Its goal is not only to develop modern technologies, but first and foremost to build a solid foundation for Poland’s industrial and technological sovereignty.
