Drone World Expo, a new specialized event dedicated to drone technology, unmanned systems and dual-use solutions, will be held March 3-5, 2026. MBF Group SA will participate as an exhibitor, presenting the Iryda Plus, Mallard and ARES projects. For the Company, this will be the first such broad, direct presentation of the technologies under development to the market, investors, industry partners and the expert community.
Participation in Drone World Expo is not only a trade show presence, but also the first public verification of the results of the work carried out since the project consortium was established. The fair opens the next stage of development – the transition from the conceptual and organizational phase to the stage of intensive market talks, technology demonstrations and discussions about scaling and commercialization. For MBF Group SA, this is also a natural time to talk about the investment potential of projects under a long-term model.
Drone World Expo – a new hub for conversations about UAV and dual-use technologies
Drone World Expo is an event focused exclusively on the market for unmanned aerial systems, autonomous technologies, C-UAS, AI integration, and security and critical infrastructure solutions. The fair is being created in response to the growing importance of drones in both civilian and military applications, as well as the need to create a space for substantive conversations about deployments, financing and scaling the technology.
Unlike broad industry trade shows, Drone World Expo focuses on the quality of participants and direct contact between manufacturers, integrators, investors, government and the military. The three-day expo creates a viable space for in-depth conversations, project presentations and asking both comfortable and challenging questions. Warsaw – as one of the key centers of defense technology development and dual-use in Central and Eastern Europe – becomes a natural venue for such a meeting.
From vision to consortium – what has been built so far
The projects presented by MBF Group SA are the result of a consistently pursued strategy of integrating technological, industrial and scientific competencies. In recent months, project structures, expert teams and a collaborative framework have been built to enable the parallel development of several initiatives with different application profiles. Drone World Expo will be the first time the results of this work will be confronted directly with the market and investors.
A key element of the process was the adoption of a consortium model, with MBF Group SA acting as the integrator and the entity responsible for the coordination, financing and future commercialization of solutions. The fair is an opportunity to take stock of this stage and have an open conversation about what is working and what needs further optimization. It is also a moment of dialogue with investors interested in the long-term development of technology projects.
Irida Plus – a new generation interceptor system
Irida Plus is an interceptor system project being developed as a response to rapidly growing threats from hostile and unauthorized drones. Its concept involves rapid target detection, autonomous homing, and effective neutralization of the threat in a manner adapted to the realities of the modern battlefield and infrastructure protection. From the beginning, the project has been developed with real-life use scenarios in mind, not just a technology demonstration.
Irida Plus is dual-use in nature – potential applications range from the defense sector to the protection of strategic facilities, borders or critical infrastructure. A published video showing a simulation of the system’s operation provides a visual demonstration of the operational concept and the direction of the technology. During the fair, the project will be discussed in detail, including a timetable for further work and the construction of a fully functional prototype.
Mallard – heavy cargo drone and logistics of the future
The other key project on display at Drone World Expo will be the Mallard, an unmanned transport system designed for logistics tasks. Mallard is designed to transport cargo under conditions of limited infrastructure availability, in emergency situations and in specialized applications.
The project is part of the global trend toward the development of autonomous logistics and could find application in both the civilian and military sectors. Mallard is not just a flying platform, but a component of a broader transportation system that takes into account mission planning, security and integration with existing infrastructure.
ARES – simulation and training solutions
Complementing the projects on display is ARES, an advanced simulation and training solution that supports operational preparation and scenario testing processes and is an important component of the training and analysis facilities for unmanned systems.
The people and competencies behind the projects
MBF Group SA will have a full decision-making and expert presence at Drone World Expo at booth D5.65. The presentations and talks will be attended by representatives of the Company’s management, Squadron’s engineering team and the scientific community centered around the Polish Industrial Lobby, with the participation of Professor. Pawel Soroka.
Invited experts with military experience, including officers with the rank of reserve general, will also participate in the meetings. This configuration of teams makes it possible to talk at the strategic, technological and operational levels simultaneously.
Three days of talks, questions and decisions
For MBF Group SA, participation in the fair is not only a presentation of projects, but also an open invitation to dialogue with investors, partners and all those interested in the development of UAV and C-UAS technologies. For three full days at the fair, the Company will be available for talks, presentations and discussions – both comfortable and challenging. We will answer all questions, including uncomfortable ones, treating them as part of a sound project verification.
The Drone World Expo thus becomes a transition point from the organizational phase to the market maturation of projects and discussions about their further financing and implementation.
The next stage of development and communication with the market
After the trade show, MBF Group SA plans to continue communicating on the progress of the work, the results of the talks and the next development steps. Reports, videos and information on further stages of the Irida Plus, Mallard and ARES projects will be published. Drone World Expo 2026 marks the beginning of a new phase – a phase of informed, open and market validation of the technologies being built.
